Sunday, 07 May 2006 Trowbridge retain place in Southern Counties South At the meeting of the South West Competition's Committee today (Sunday 7 May) the Structure of the leagues for 2006/07 was agreed. Trowbridge retained their place in Southern Counties South when the Committee agreed the Dorset & Wilts proposal that two teams would be promoted from Dorset & Wilts 1. This is the second consecutive season that Trowbridge have retained their place in the league after finishing in a relegation position. Last year South West 2 East increased from 11 to 12 teams creating a space for Trowbridge in Southern Counties. Read more >>

Tuesday, 20 March 2007 This weekend matches The 1st team will be playing Midsomer Norton in the Bath Combination Cup at Green Lane ko 2.30pm. There had been a rumour that Corsham had conceded the quarter final Dorset & Wilts Vase match against Wootton Bassett. This would have meant the away semi final at Wootton Bassett would have taken priority. However Corsham's decision has not been confirmed and so we are pressing ahead with the Midsomer Norton match. The match against Midsomer Norton will be the first time the club's have met for many years and their league positions indicate it should be very competitive, so please could we have as much support as possible. They finished fifth in Southern Counties South and this was largely due to a seven match winning sequence midway through season. They host Stothert & Pitt in a friendly trial at Green Lane on Saturday, kick off 3pm and all players are asked to attend. The Oakmeadians website has indicated that Dorchester cannot raise a team for the semi final today (15 March) so Oaks have reached the final after receiving walkovers from Dorchester, Corsham and Bradford on Avon. Friday, 07 August 2009 Pre season matches Trowbridge start pre season friendlies with a visit to National 3 South West team Cleve at their ground at Mangotsfield next Wednesday (12 August) evening kick off 7pm. They entertain Widden Old Boys who play in Western Counties North on Saturday 22 August at Green Lane kick off 3pm. The Gloucester side will be bringing two sides and all players are requested to attend. An internal trial match at Green Lane is being planned for 29 August before the first South West 1 East league match at Cheltenham on 5 September. Monday, 21 December 2009 New dates for postponed league matches The RFU have published the following re–arranged league matches following the postponement of matches on 5 December and 19 December: Wootton Bassett II v Trowbridge II – postponed on 5 December 2009, will now be played on 2 January 2010. Trowbridge v Marlow – postponed on 19 December, will now be played on 6 February. Marlow had an abandoned league match against High Wycombe on 12 December, and that match will be played on 2 January. Trowbridge III v Melksham III – postponed on 19 December 2009, will now be played on 2 January 2010. Trowbridge v Corsham – Bath Combination Cup. The date of this match has not yet been confirmed but it will not take place before 27 February because Trowbridge have a league match on every weekend until then, except 2 January when Corsham play Bradford on Avon in the league.
