Maidens reach Lytchett 7's final

Trowbridge Ladie's faced their second 7's Tournament down at Lytchett Minster RFC

The Trowbridge Maidens went down to Lytchett Minster RFC near Poole to take on 5 teams in their annual 7's Tournament

The Maidens first match was against St. Mary's Old Boys but they lost 28–5 with Anna Hemmingway scoring 1 try

The second match was played against Soxford Ladies and with a different strategy they managed to draw 7–7 with Tara Taylor scoring a self converted try under the posts

The third match was the Plate Quarter Final against Old Dunstonians, the score was nearly a draw but thanks to Tara's drop goal skills that made the scores 10–14 to the maidens

The next game is as far as Trowbridge got to last year and was up against Woodpeckers RFC but thanks to some football skills of Tara Taylor and great rucking from the forwards they had won the game 28–0

The Final was to be against St. Austel, the winners of last year who also knocked the Maidens out in the semi final but even tho our girls played with alot of heart and fire they were out played by St. Austel and unfortunatley lost 26–14

This was a great day out with some extremely nail biting moments so thanks to the ladies who played; Tara Taylor, Jess White, Anna Hemmingway, Hayley Griffiths, Sally Martin, Lyn lamb, Carmen Chadwick, Jackie Bracher and the 2 Chipping Sodbury ladies who filled in for our no shows and also thanks to the supporters
