Martyn Laverick - Hon Secretary and U14s CoachHaving played rugby for 35 years you just can not get it out your system hence my involvement with this great club as Hon Secretary and coach of the U14s. During my playing years I have captained Trowbridge 1st XV and spent 7 years playing first team rugby at Keynsham and all the time have been very fortunate to represent clubs where individuals work exceptionally hard to make sure that the players have everything they need. It is now my turn to do the same for the players of today at Trowbridge RFC and I also like to think that my years in running businesses will assist the club in its move to its fantastic new club house and grounds. I have trained the U14s since they were little kids of 6 and 7 years more interested in making mud puddles than playing rugby! I now have a fantastic group of lads, with a great coaching team and wonderful parental support. I am very proud of everything they have achieved and giving up time for these up and coming players is time worth spending. Jinnie Anderson - Child Welfare OfficerThe Child Welfare officer role is a relatively new role and has been in exsistence for about a year. During my year I have developed the Codes of Conduct in keeping with the RFU guidelines and been elected onto the Trowbridge RFC committee. In order to develop this role further I am planning to undertake a Distance Learning package on 'Best practice and Child Protection'. I feel that my main duty is to deal with any Welfare issues that may arise from parents and/or coaches and any comments or conversations that I have will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence. I am normally available at Trowbridge RFC on a Sunday morning between 10am and 1pm if not i can be contacted on 01225 768842Mike James - Administration ManagerHaving worked in manufacturing industry for over 40 years Mike took early retirement in December 2002. He now runs his own business advisory company. He was appointed as Administration Manager for the club in September 2003. Mike first joined the club in the summer of 1963 and played until 1988. He joined the committee in 1990 and currently manages the relocation project on behalf of the club.![]() Gerald RutterMarketing manager: Having spent 18 years in senior management positions in sales and manufacturing I was glad to take up this post in February 2005 this was the first time in the clubs history that such a position was created and is a clear indication of the professionalism and forward thinking strategies of the committee.
