Lions 5 - 35 Castle Cary

A poor first half saw Lions muscled off the ball by a well drilled and bigger Castle Cary side. Alfie was dangerous in attack and tenacious in defence but too often the side ran up blind alleys and were isolated. The second half was much better and the team started working for each other. Rhys carried the ball well and Thomas rucked and mauled hard. Alfie scoring the only try, set up by a run and hand-on by Thomas and Freddie.ry

Tigers 5 - 25 Castle Cary

Tigers were competitive from first to last minutes and really only lacked a cutting edge. Ed was a dynamo at the breakdowns, winning rucks and mauls while also making several mazy runs. Luke R marshalled the team well and Luke B tackled hard and went on one barnstorming run. Ash scored the only try, weaving through several Cary defenders before diving over.
