Tigers lose in the Vase Final

A depleted Under 10's side lost to Hungerford 2 in the Vase Final of the Chippenham Festival. Missing 3 key players, the team fought hard but ultimately came up short losing 0-4 to bigger opponents.

Heavy ground and a tight game led to a number of mistakes that Hungerford pounced on, scoring once in the first half and 3 further tries in the second where the lack of fresh legs meant that the team tired at the end of a long festival.

In the semi-final, the two Trowbridge teams played each other, drawing 1-1 with Matthew scoring for the Tigers and Nick for the Lions. Tigers advancing controversially on first try scored.

What was fantastic was a team that started at Under 7s with 7 players was able to field 2 teams at Under 10 level, even with a number of players sick, injured and unavailable.
