"Andrew (Muscles) Rudland 1968-2026
Andrew joined Trowbridge Rugby Club in 1979, playing in the minis. In 1981 his minis team won the Bill Bingham Trophy at the Marlborough festival.
He played for the Clarendon school 1st XV from 1980-85 at full back.
He continued playing through minis, colts and into senior rugby. Andrew was playing on the wing when Trowbridge 1st xv won the Dorset, Wilts and Berks Div 3 south 1990/91, scoring 22 tries during the season.
Andrew was the ultimate club man, rarely missing matches due to injury. He will be fondly remembered as a player who was a tenacious tackler despite his slight wirey frame, and always being in the right place at the right time.
He was a patron from its conception, and continued through to the Vice President membership, when this format took over from the patronship.
After retiring from playing, he would be seen supporting sides at Trowbridge, Bath rugby (where he was a season ticket holder).
Andrew will be remembered by family and friends for his passion for rugby, either Trowbridge, Bath or England.
Andrew leaves behind his wife, Caroline, daughter Lydia and step daughters Imogen & Georgia".
