We are delighted to announce the appointment of Nick Leach to our senior coaching team

Trowbridge RFC are delighted to announce the appointment of a new senior coach to the club, Nick Leach. Nick played at school in the successful Ivybridge College AASE side which featured the likes of Dave Ewers, Sam Hill and Ben Spencer whilst upholding a place in the Exeter Chiefs Academy with current internationals Jack Nowell, Luke Cowan-Dickie and Josh Matavesi. He then went on to play for Hampshire U20s in a successful run to Twickenham in the National Championship which resulted in England Counties U20 trials. During this time he also attended Cardiff Metropolitan University playing in the hugely successful BUCS team at Twickenham as well as the Welsh Championship. Unfortunately a series of injuries brought an end to a promising playing career and Nick took up coaching. He is currently coaching the successful Dauntseys School 1st XV where he works as a PE teacher and has previously coached as part of the Bath Rugby DPP programme.

Head Coach Ali Lund said "Nick will be a fantastic appointment for the club. He is a quality coach and shares a similar coaching philosophy to the current coaches around empowering the players to overcome the challenges the game presents. He is a forwards coach specialist but is confident coaching all elements of the game which will be invaluable to our senior squads. We are a very ambitious club and know it will need coaches of the caliber of Nick to keep driving standards upwards."

Nick said "I am really excited to be taking on this role in what seems to be an excellent club with an exciting group of players. I am hoping to bring some of my past experiences to the club and hopefully offer the players something fresh to take the club forward."
