Due to extremely dry weather, repeated heatwaves and no significant rainfall forecast, Trowbridge RFC are implementing a strict temporary smoking ban within our grounds.

These measures are designed to prevent accidental wildfires caused by discarded or improperly extinguished cigarettes. Our pitches are tinder dry, and a single stray ash, a poorly stubbed-out butt, or a dropped cigarette could ignite the parched turf instantly, with summer winds spreading flames across the pitches in minutes.

Please confine all smoking to the main car park.

This temporary smoking ban is effective immediately, until 1st September 2026.
