Leighton Buzzard 23 Trowbridge 6

Trowbridge again struggling with availability made the longest trip of the season to Leighton Buzzard, Roy Hewett, Alex Hole and Dan Knight making the step up to the first team all played well in some very difficult conditions. Buzzard opened the proceedings kicking into a strong wind Trowbridge responded forcing play back into the home twenty two but were unable to turn procession into points and were forced back after a series of set scrums due to handling errors, with both side testing each other out the visitors started to look the stronger piling on the pressure and after twenty minutes forced a penalty Ollie Weaver making no mistake from thirty metres out to put Trowbridge ahead 0-3, this was repeated five minutes later with another successful penalty from Weaver to put the visitors 0-6 in front at the break.
Trowbridge started the second half playing against the difficult conditions and within minutes of the restart gave away a penalty Buzzards number ten Dan David making no mistake reducing the visitors lead to just three points 3-6, again from the restart the home side used the strong wind to their advantage to pin Trowbridge back in their own twenty two and with continued pressure and some poor defending from Trowbridge got the first try of the game from centre Jack Whitehouse, Dan David adding the extra two points 10-6 to Buzzard, using the same tactics Buzzard again pinned Trowbridge back once again managed to break through the visitors defence to score a second try this time from right wing Ollie Taylor, Dan David again successful with the conversion making the score seventeen points to six 17-6 to Buzzard. Now into the last quarter of the game and Trowbridge ten Ollie Weaver came off with a knee injury, Dave Finlay moved to fly half and George Leat brought on into the centre with James Marwick, this tightened up the defence and stopped the home side breaking through, but it did not stop Trowbridge from giving away two easy penalties Dan David successful with both to end the game twenty three points to six 23-6.
