Trowbridge took the points in this hard-fought battle at Dorchester’s Coburg Rd ground.
Trowbridge scored on their first visit into Dorchester’s territory putting Adam Sullivan in under the posts after only three minutes of play only to follow up this good start with try from winger Lewis Jordan leaving Lloyd Davis an easy conversion putting the home side twelve points behind at the end of the first quarter, but the visitors did not have it all their own way as Dorchester through everything in to attacking the Trowbridge line for a long period of time testing their defence but in doing so left themselves exposed out wide and once Trowbridge won possession they exploited the overlap sending James McFarlane in under the posts Lloyd Davis adding the extras, Dorchester’s Calam King did convert a penalty to end the first half with the score at 3 – 19.

Dorchester started the second half at pace putting the visitors under pressure forcing mistakes from Trowbridge which resulted in an intercepted pass and a try and conversion for the home side, keeping the pressure on Dorchester kicked another successful penalty and added to their score with another unconverted try to take the score to 18 – 19 going into the last quarter of the game, Trowbridge fought back taking the game deep into Dorchester’s half and demonstrating their new found confidence closed the game out with two unconverted try’s one from prop Sam Edwards and another at the final whistle from James McFarlane to end the game 18 - 29
