Swanage & Wareham put an end to the Trowbridge thirteen games undefeated run by winning 14 - 24 at Doric Park.
In almost unplayable conditions Trowbridge kicked off into strong winds and rain, but it was Swanage who were first to score with a successful penalty from Philip Graves, to their credit both sides tried to play open rugby until the visitors went further ahead with an unconverted try from Jacob Warren and to end a miserable half for the home team another successfull penalty for Graves (0 - 11).
Now playing with the conditions in their favour Trowbridge started the second half with a pacey James Macfarlane try and successfull conversion from Lloyd Davis only to score almost from the restart with a solo effort from Ashley Chalk folowing up a Lloyd Davis kick ahead and a Swanage defensive error Davis adding the extras to give the home team the lead for the first time in the game.
With Trowbridge now feeling more confident they started to get on top only to give away another penalty in front of their posts to make it easy for Swans Graves to level the scores, this was followed by a pushover try from Swanage's Danny Collins and conversion from Graves and to end a poor game for the hosts another kickable penalty from Graves (14 - 24).
